On International Women’s Day 2021, Apleona’s Regional Director, Rachel Broughton-Stronghill gives an insight to working at Apleona.
'I have been with the business since 2007, and during this time, I have seen a great deal of change. As the organisation continues to grow, it brings with it exciting times ahead and I am delighted to part of this journey. I have worked on a number of key accounts within the company, all of which I have enjoyed immensely and this has culminated in me now being Regional Director, and being responsible for managing large accounts at a strategic level.
I know it’s a cliché but it really is true that the best part of my job is the variety and getting to meet so many people from different backgrounds. My role literally covers the whole of the UK, even during current Covid lockdown situations - with locations from Aberdeen to St Ives and Ebbw Vale to Norwich! I am fortunate in that I love meeting people and learning what makes them tick to try to get the best possible performance out of them.
During my time at Apleona, I been given the appropriate training, valuable work experience, and indispensible guidance from my peers, to truly advance in my career, in what is traditionally regarded as a male dominated industry. Apleona continues to refine a great aptitude for developing people. If an individual wants it, and demonstrates the right credentials, then there is good opportunity to progress.’
Jacqui Paice, Managing Director FM UK & the Nordics, adds: ‘Rachel is a company ambassador and a lead in TUPE transfers, mobilisations and restructures with the key objective of delivering a better service alongside innovation. Rachel is a true asset to Apleona - a natural leader who has the ability to obtain the best out of people.’
